We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assessor to evaluate candidates pursuing business and teaching qualifications. The successful candidate will ensure that assessments are conducted fairly, consistently, and in compliance with awarding body standards. This role involves reviewing learner portfolios, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that all assessment practices align with quality assurance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess learners’ assignments against the assessment criteria set by the AB.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance for learner progression.
- Ensure compliance with Ofqual and awarding body regulations.
- Maintain accurate assessment records and submit reports on time.
- Use Canvas Instructure for digital assessments and record keeping.
- Work with IQAs and EQAs to ensure assessment quality and consistency.
- Uphold ethical assessment practices and maintain learner confidentiality.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Proficiency in using Canvas Instructure.
- Level 5 diploma in Education and Training (DET)
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business and Education or related field
- One year of experience in assessing Ofqual-UK accredited qualifications.
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
